Bake sale & Dinner Update

On behalf of the Linganore New- Market Community Show we would like to invite you to the 2023 Linganore-New Market Community Show Baked Good & Flower Auction. The Linganore Grange, New Market Grange and Linganore FFA members are anxiously preparing for this to be an outstanding show and are excited about a few changes from the past.

This will be our 49th Community Show held at the high school. The Dinner will be held on Monday, October 9th, 2023 from 4:30 pm to 7:00pm in the Linganore High School Cafeteria. Our FFA Ambassador Program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and we have a special recognition planned for this year. The Baked Goods and Flower auction will be immediately following the program at 7:00 p.m. The auction is a highlight for everyone! All baked items will be sold, along with many floral centerpieces and vases that our Horticulture students designed. The dinner will

be Fried Chicken and Pulled Pork and hope you will be able to join us.

Due to another event held at LHS that evening we are asking that you participate in satellite parking at the Gaver/Miller Farm (located on Rt. 75, just down from Linganore) at 7030 Drummine Rd. New Market, MD. 21774. There will be very limited parking on Monday evening at the school, therefore we are offering a shuttle bus that continuously runs from the farm to the school and back. This shuttle will run from 4:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

We also invite you to the school for Family Night at the Community Show on Tuesday, October 10th. We will have Cryin’Johnnies and Glamour View Creamery Food Trucks available from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Parking will not be an issue on Tuesday night). We have the Pedal Tractor Pull for ages 5-12 and Carnival Activities, Games & Crafts for the family.
